I realised I like my routines

Growing up I always liked change. There would be that excitement of something new. Lately I realized I ain't such a big fan of it. In the past two years I don't remember having  any two months that looked similar.

According to my normal schedule I would not be writing a post on a Monday night. I would just be back from my swim lesson and having a cup of hot tea. Only if things were to go according to our plans. I ended up with the flu- on Valentines day :( Not that I had anyone special to go out with, but had to cancel lunch plans with friends. Was hoping to be at work today after the 2 day rest, but I am still sick and probably heading to a chest congestion.

It looks like another day in bed tomorrow or in bed with my work laptop trying to finish up on stuff. Really hoping to get back to my workouts, work and some normal routine. Till then I shall get back to my faithful companions- books, hot water and lots and lots of tissue :P

Two day working week

This week was probably the shortest working week I have had. Well not that the company policies changed or anything... I came down with the flu. I thought I would be able to make it  to work today, as I seemed to get better yesterday evening.Sadly though I woke up this morning feeling really really terrible. Personally I was feeling quite guilty not going to work.Even though I am quite ill and can barely talk due to my infected sinuses and blocked nose :P

When you take more than a day off, people usually doubt if you are "really ill". But then I realized I gottta stop thinking what people think of me.Fear of man is no good. I love how it is put in Proverbs 29:25 "The fear of man lays a snare,  but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe."  So remembering this, I get back in bed, with my tissues, hot water and books :)

Thank you Note: To my Doc :)

There are a lot of things I am grateful for in my  life- big and small. One thing that I thank the Lord for, was being able to find a really good doctor in the neighborhood. Its been almost a year since I have been going to him.  He is a quiet man, who does not say much- but his medicines do the talking :)

I like going to him, coz he is also quite flexible. There were times where I physically could not go to him, and I could just call, tell him my symptoms and someone from home could  pick up the meds.

So the reason I am writing this post, because yesterday morning, I started coming down with the flu. Those who know me well also know that if not treated initially it goes into a full blown sinus infection. As I called the clinic to get an appointment, I was later informed that he is on leave for the next 3 days :(

I was in a lot of discomfort last evening ( those have experienced sinus infections will know ;). Will be visiting another doctor today and hoping that I can get better soon. Its sad though how ungrateful we human beings can be. Its only when things are taken away from us do we realize their importance. Sickness is one place where God reminds us of all those things :)
